Medical Clinic Day 1

People of Kuji and the surrounding villages FLOCKED to the church today for medical attention. Our FPC group, along with Ugandan nurses and doctors, worked at full capacity for seven hours and estimate that we served approximately patients. After the patients went through a small routine of blood pressure and temperature taking, they would see Dr. Bartha and the other doctors for a more thorough check up. We are blessed to have a great man, like Dr. Bartha on our team. Today, he likely provided a needed service that many would have always gone without. He believes that malaria was the sickness he diagnosed the most.
Robin and Jeff handed out mosquito nets to the patients after they saw the doctors. Mosquito nets, as always, are a hot commodity. We handed out over 1500 nets today, and still have 1500 more to hand out tomorrow.
Even though we had a myriad of medicine to provide for the Ugandans, at the end there was practically nothing left! It is sad to think that no matter how much we supply, it will never be enough. However, we look forward to another day of hosting the medical clinic tomorrow.
